The Story Behind Nonprofit MVP

Host, Nancy Solari

Nonprofit MVP is the brainchild of radio and television host, Nancy Solari. “I can’t imagine not being involved in the support of nonprofits, considering how much I’ve benefitted from them.” The legally blind CEO and host of the national Living Full Out Radio Show, Nancy’s diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa didn’t stop her from pursuing the dream of becoming a broadcaster. Nancy’s involvement with nonprofits begins with Braille Institute Library and includes Guide Dogs for the Blind, who trained her Co-Host, Frost. Through philanthropic organizations she learned about low-vision technology, giving her tools for the various stages of the progression of her vision loss. This experience inspired her to reach out and give back. “Nonprofit MVP is a natural fit,” Nancy says. “On camera and off, I’ll be cheering these aspiring entrepreneurs toward their goal. I’m proud to be a part of their journey.”

Producer, Jon Fondy

An experienced actor in television and film, Jon Fondy is an award-winning television producer with 40 years in the industry. No stranger to the non-profit space, his Las Vegas charity, Stars Among the Angels Foundation, serves underprivileged youth. “When you get involved with nonprofits, you’re not doing this work for money or to be on a hit TV show. It’s a commitment over the years; you get involved because you’ve benefitted from a nonprofit, or you’ve learned how to run a nonprofit, and you want to share your knowledge with others.” For Jon’s leadership of Stars Among the Angels he received the David Chow Humanitarian Award. Past winners include Matthew McConaughey and Brad Pitt. Jon is grateful for the chance to lend his expertise behind the camera to capture the vision, heart, and mission of the contestants.
